In Annie's class her teacher asked kids to decorate the bulletin board, Annie got picked for January and this was her creation! The back ground she water colored the trees were made from paper that looked like newspaper and the birds were glittered up! All done in true Annie style "the more glitter the better"

Sophie was sure to be apart of it!

And here she is Happy as can be with the way it turned out!!! It was a lot of fun to work on it with here and my mom helped out too, even though it did go into the late night and Q kept us all laughing with his funny drawing and letter that had a picture of Annie my mom and I all screamming :)

Our baby is 1 month old already! He is getting so big, we are all having so much fun with him! He sleeps all day and night, and so when he is awake for the short 5 minutes he gets loved by us all, he LOVES getting in the tub every night and has started to like his binky more since I forced him too! We love you Nixen.

Annie is such an AMAZING daughter she LOVES to be with her brother and sister and they are all best friends. She has become such an AWESOME dancer, so GOOD at Soccer and an Extra SMART student. She has LOTS of good friends, her teachers always LOVE her and think she is GREAT!!!! Her mom and dad are so PROUD of the girl she has become and hope she had a WONDERFUL birthday! My dad took these pictures at Nicoles wedding and I thought they were so cute! I had to post them!!!!!

Sophie was a Flower Girl and she was so excited to wear that dress, she would ask me all the time if she could just take it to school for show and tell!

Annie was such a good helper all night she was so good at keeping all the tables cleared off and the treat table refiled!

Q was suppose to be helping but since he had the flu the night before was not feeling top notch but he sure looked Handsome!

P.S. While I am posting I wanted to write down something Sophie said that was so funny that I wanted to be able to tell remind her of when she got older: "Mom I cant wait to be a Mom and a bus driver!" I will have to reminder her of this when she is older and looking for a job!

have been surrounded by friends.

The taxes I pay because it means that I’m employed.

The clothes that fit a little too snug because it
means I have enough to eat.

My shadow who watches me work because it means I
am out in the sunshine.

A lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning
and gutters that need fixing because it means I have
a home.

All the complaining I hear about our government because
it means we have freedom of speech.

The space I find at the far end of the parking lot because
it means I am capable of walking.

My huge heating bill because it means I am warm.

The party invintations were a BIG hit with McEwan's buddys and there Mom's!!! They were really Fun to make and my kids loved the fact that we burned them!The Pirate Feast......Captains crunchy chicken (chick fila nugget platter), peg leg potatoes (potato wedges), pirates blood (ketchup), fruit on a stick, sand dip(brown sugar fruit dip), and pirates brew (home made rootbeer)!

Annie and her friend Alisa dressed as pirate maidens and were so nice to help with party!

The only shot of the party I got being the party giver there just wasnt time to sanp a lot of shots. But here they are with there Pirate masks and swords!

It was so much fun!!!! Happy Birthday McEwan we love you!

I LOVE this time of year! It is such a fun time for so many reasons; I love the leaves changing in the mountains, kids back in school, Swiss days and enjoying the cabin this time of year is the BEST!!!! We stayed 4 nights at the cabin and it was so much FUN!!!

we made sure to hit Swiss days a few times and pick up some fun new things there and get in on all the thousands of people!!! There were many games of Mexican Dominoes and YES Kim I beat you by 300 points!!! The kids favorite is the many rhino rides we go on! It was such a Fun weekend thanks Mom and Dad for sharing with us! we LOVE you!!!!

Coming home from her friend Mallory's house Annie decided to take McEwans advice and go around the corner realy fast with no brakes, and this was the result! Buckeled Fractured wrist! She is in a soft cast until Monday to let the swelling go down and then Monday morning she gets a hard cast For 4-6 weeks!!!

P.S. Next time dont take your brothers advice!

McEwan just started his first year of Little Hoopsters and is so excited to start playing! On Friday at 6:30 in the mornig my cute little boy came in my room to give me a good morning hug and he was wondering when his ride to school was coming I was quickly to let him no he still had 3 hours until school started and that he could go back to bed because it was still night time! But thanks to wonderful daylight savings it was light outside and so he asked me if he could go outside and practice dribbleing! I said sure, and so sure enough he went outside to play some ball!

Conference Weekend

Our Fun weekend started Friday night when we went and stayed over night at the Marriott in downtown Salt Lake City! We hurried and dropped our stuff off at our hotel and headed out on the trax to find some dinner. The kids picked one of there favorites Cafe rio for dinner. after we headed back for some much awaited swimming! after swimming it was time for room service for one of our favorite treats Cheesecake! In the morning we got ready and took a taxi to Temple Square to attend the morning session of confenrence in the tabernacle! It was a neat experience and the spirit there was so strong! Then off to the gateway for some yummy lunch at one of Chris and I's favorite spots Z tejas. Then to the Clark Planetarium where we saw the movie Fly me to the Moon in 3D! after the movie it was off to Dick's sporting goods to Climb the giant rock wall! then there was lots more Trax rides (Sophies Favorite), food, swimming, reading books together and eating treats! When we all climbed in our beds and went to sleep in the morning it was time to check out and go to Grandma and Grandpa Millers for some deliscious Thinnies and watching confrence! McEwan was wondering if we could do it again next weekend!

The favorite part of this Stop was the hill that the kids would run up and down a hundred times!
Thanks to Annie who spotted this cute Mom Moose and her baby! So we turned the rhinos off to watch for a bit!
Finding fun trails to run through always made the kids HAppY!

First Day of School

It was like Christmas in August for McEwan! He was so excited to start first grade that he couldn't sleep all night! He was up at 6a.m. waking up Annie to let her know that if she didn't get up they were going to be late!

They are BEST BUDS! They are so excited to be going to school all day together!

Annie was so excited to be able to learn cursive writting this year! She loved seeing McEwan at reecess and seeing what all her friends were wearing ! Third grade will be so Fun!

McEwan's favorite part of first grade was the 4 recesses (not sure when they had time to squeeze them all in) and School lunch! Sophie was so sad that her Bubby and Sissy were going to be gone all day! We love you guys and all miss you so much while you are gone! I know you will have a wonderful year and have lots of fun!

We have had so much fun the past 4 weeks my Topher started a new job and hasn't had to work a day yet. We have been able to do lots of shopping together, Movies and Lunches. So Sunday night at 1:30 in the morning Sophie woke up screaming! I got up to see what was wrong and she was laying on the floor by the side of the bed screaming OWIE mom OWIE! I asked her if she could stand up since I am not suppose to be lefting her but she couldnt I thought there is no way she could be that hurt could she! So I lifted her into her bed and she still was screaming so I went and woke Chris up and said there is something wrong with Sophie you need to go get here and bring her in our bed. So she came in and got in bed with us and screamed the entire night I asked her what hurt and she would point to her neck my thought was this kid has some major strep throat knowing that she gets strep so often that is what came to my mind. I called the doctor first thing in the morning and said my daughter needs a strep test. I took her in and they run all sorts of tests on her no strep. She is still screaming in such pain she complains of her arm too. So the Dr. tells me she wants me to go down stairs to get x-rays of her arm. I was so thankful my mom was there although she was the lucky one that had to pack her around and hold her down in x-ray as she screamed bloody murder. They found that she had broke her Clavical bone. it was a major fracture the doctor said that there is and 1 1/2 inch gap between the bones where it busted in half and so she would need to go to Primary Childrens to and have an orthopedic surgeon pin it. I felt so bad that my daughter at 3 was going to have to go thru this but Chris and I took her up to the hospital and when we got there we had to wait for the doctors to look at the xrays and annalize what they wanted to do. they came back and said that it is the only bone in the body they dont pin because there is no way to hard cast it right there with out making her completely misserable. and being that she is 3 they didnt think that would go over so good. So Sophie is in a sling and ace bandage wrap for 6 weeks while it heals.

Moab was lots of FUN! We enjoyed lots of fun rides on the rhinos! The funnest ride was when we went to Fins-and-things. It is on the slick rock that is so popular in moab! there were a few times that the wifes and kids would get out and walk and let the boys do it them selves!

Heartfelt Thoughts about Melisa

Today I am at work missing my wife. I found this picture and thought I should post it. It reminds me of one of the funnest, happiest and most memorable times of my life, our Anniversary trip to Disneyland.

I tried to come up with some cute caption about Melisa, dopey, and some sort of Disney character. But I got nothing. Not today, sorry folks.

Reasons why Melisa is the greatest woman in the world:
1- No matter how bad my day is, when I see Melisa's face, it cheers me up.
2- Melisa is such a fantastic mother to Annie, McEwan and Sophie.
3- Melisa takes care of me when my days are unbelievable stressful.
4- Even when Melisa is having a bad day, she still has a smile on her face.
5- Melisa makes sure that I get to have lunch every day, even on the weekends. Dinner and breakfast too.
6- Melisa puts up with my crap. And isn't there a lot since I have brown hair?
7- Melisa keeps our house looking fantastic.
8- Melisa keeps our children looking fantastic.
9- Melisa is the most selfless person I have met. She always thinks of others first. Then takes care of herself.
10- Melisa is a great example of honor. She makes an extra effort to be honest and upfront in all things.
11- Melisa got me converted to Country Music. Country Music now takes up about half of my iPod.
12- Melisa always wants to do fun things. She is very spontaneous and enjoys some excitement.

I have more. A lot more. But there is not enough hard drive space in the world to hold all of the kind words in my heart. (how is that for nerd flattery).

Melisa, You are such an important part in my life. Thank you for all you do for me and for our family. You really are the glue that holds us together. I have said it again, without you we would all be running around hungry and naked.

I love you more than anything in the entire world. Please don't stop being you. You are such a fantastic wife and mother. It makes me so happy to be your husband.

Friday was so Fun at the Rascall Flatts Concert! We ate at one of our favorites "Texas Road House" Then headed off to the concert!

The Fun Family Weeekend!

This weekend was super fun! We went to the cabin and rode snowmobiles, ate soup, built snowmen and just had a fun time as a family. Sophie getting ready to go out for a sleigh ride!

What can be funner then playing in the snow all day!

There is so much snow you cant get out on my parents deck at the cabin! The snow actually broke the ralling!

After the long day of playing in the snow Sophie and McEwan were ready to hit the hay! They are such good friends!

Friday before we went to the cabin we went to the Car Show. This was Chris' favorite!

Annie had her first Benefit dance concert with her Excel team on friday and they did such an Awesome job! Annie is such a great dancer and loves to be able to dance with her cousins!

Santa diffinately found his way to our house! Some of the favorite presents were; Annie loves her scooter, Mcewan Loves his tool bench, and Sophie can't leave her princess dress off and of course Chris was totaly surprised with his WII, and I love my new Jewelry from my kiddos. We are so thank ful for every thing we are so blessed with.

One of our other favorites was The Pollar Express Ride with the Miller Family!

The stop at the north pole was super fun, we sang songs and talked with santa. Then got back on the train that took us thrus the nativity. This place was amazing and a tradition we want to do every year! A big Thank You! to the wonderful Family that puts it on!
